“Suspicion often creates what it suspects.”
C.S. Lewis, Screwtape letters
Every Man has 3 battels to fight...
A battle to fight
A Beauty to rescue
An Adventure to Live!
Every Man Has A Purpose in Life: what's yours?
The decision to abstain, or use birth control... lies with all women.
The decision to kill another person, should not.
By Robert Service
It’s easy to fight when everything’s right,
And you’re mad with thrill and the glory;
It’s easy to cheer when victory’s near,
And wallow in fields that are gory.
It’s a different song when everything’s wrong,
When you’re feeling infernally mortal;
When it’s ten against one, and hope there is none,
Buck up, little soldier, and chortle:
Carry on! Carry on!
There isn’t much punch in your blow.
You are glaring and staring and hitting out blind;
You are muddy and bloody, but never you mind.
Carry on! Carry on!
You haven’t the ghost of a show.
It’s looking like death, but while you’ve a breath,
Carry on, Ric! Carry on!
And so in the strife of the battle of life
It’s easy to fight when you’re winning;
It’s easy to slave, and starve and be brave,
When the dawn of success is beginning.
But the man who can meet despair and defeat
With a cheer, there’s the man of God’s choosing;
The man who can fight to Heaven’s own height
Is the man who can fight when he’s losing.
Carry on! Carry on!
Thing never were looming so black.
But show that you haven’t a cowardly streak,
And though you’re unlucky you never are weak.
Carry on! Carry on!
Brace up for another attack.
It’s looking like hell, but – you never tell.
Carry on, Colonel! Carry on!
There are some who drift out in the desert of doubt
And some who in brutishness wallow;
There are others, I know, who in piety go
Because of a Heaven to follow.
But to labor with zest, and to give of your best,
For the sweetness and joy of the giving;
To help folks along with a hand and a song;
Why, there’s the real sunshine of living.
Carry on! Carry on!
Fight the good fight and true;
Believe in your mission, greet life with a cheer;
There’s big work to do, and that’s why you are here.
Carry on! Carry on!
Let the world be the better for you;
And at last when you die, let this be your cry!
Carry on, my soul! Carry on!
Thanks Harry Rossander!

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane and
he turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker
if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”
The little girl, who had just started to read her book,
replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is
no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he smiled
“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me
ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same
stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns
out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that
The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s
intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”
To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified
to discuss why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after
death, when you don’t know S#*t ?”
And then she went back to reading her book.

Where Was God on 911 ?
‘MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL’
You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither w ill I.
I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say ‘Good-Bye.’ I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, ‘Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.’
I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn’t coming home that night.
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. ‘I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!’ I said.
‘Of course I will show you the way home – only
believe in Me now.’
I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.
I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?
I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name – though not all knew Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.
Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn’t hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; ‘Come to Me… this way… take
my hand.’ Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.
I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?
Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you. But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
‘ready to go.’
I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

I’m never quite sure how a work of art is going to be received. As much as I would like to credit myself for a job well done, it is all Christ working through me that makes anything lasting possible. Jesus always brings us to a place far beyond ourselves where all reasonable explanations fail and we can only attribute circumstances to His presence. I really struggled with that painting and prayed many times asking God to make something good out it, something that would bless someone else. Apparently that’s just what He did. How does it feel to be an answer to prayer?

An Obituary printed in the London Times…
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us
for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long
ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such
valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn’t always fair; and
- Maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can
earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began
to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in
place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a
classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher
fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they
themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even
further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or
an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and
wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals
received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you
couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you
for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was
promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife,
Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To
Blame; I’m A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Only a closed mind is certain!
An old German Shepherd starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he’s lost. Wandering about, he notices a panther heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.
The old German Shepherd thinks, “Oh, oh! I’m in deep shit now!”
Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat.
Just as the panther is about to leap, the old German Shepherd exclaims loudly, “Boy, that was one delicious panther! I wonder, if there are any more around here?”
Hearing this, the young panther halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees.
“Whew!” says the panther, “That was close! That old German Shepherd nearly had me!”
Meanwhile, a squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the panther. So, off he goes.
The squirrel soon catches up with the panther, spills the beans, and strikes a deal for himself with the panther.
The young panther is furious at being made a fool of and says, “Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that conniving canine!”
Now, the old German Shepherd sees the panther coming with the squirrel on his back and thinks, “What am I going to do now?”
But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn’t seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old German Shepherd says…
“Where’s that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another panther!”
Moral of this story… Don’t mess with the old dogs

J. Michael Mckoy ( age) rode his chariot to heaven on (date).
He was greeted by His Father God and a choir of Angles welcoming him home. While on his earthly journey, Mac Honored God, followed Jesus and served others…not as well as he would have liked, but better than he ever could have done without Jesus at his side. Mac believed in God every moment of his life and shared that relationship with anyone who would listen. Praise God for His amazing Grace because without it, a retched soul like Macs would never have everlasting life with His Father God.
For the website and other:
My Name is J. Michael Mckoy and I was born April 15th, 1959 in Omaha Nebraska
I was adopted at the age of 6 months by his parents, John and Ann Henderson and lived my first 18 years in Beatrice Nebraska, a community I had much love for. My favorite teachers included Mr. Bartles, Mr. Person and Mr. Tubbs. I loved Band, Theater, and making money. I have had a job since the age of 8 as a paper boy for the Beatrice Daily sun and many times increased my rout to increase my profits. I most usually won the top prize for the most sales for any fundraising campaign I participated in.
As President of the local German club, my fellow classmates raised enough funds to sponsor trips to Kansas City’s Worlds Of Fun…TWO years in a row.
When I turned 16 and could drive, I got my first job…I worked at Maxine’s Restaurant as a dish washer…and was fired 2 months into the job for “insisting to the owners I could RUN things better than they could”…a scene that would be a consistent affair in my working career until I was able to open my own business, which he did at the age of 21 in Marshalltown Iowa.
During the next 34 years of my life, I would own and operate 17 other business enterprises, earning millions of dollars and losing luckily, slightly less. I was a self made Entrepreneur.
I always jokes that the “most distinguishing characteristic of an Entrepreneur, was that we made “lousy employees.”
However, with out my Business Partner and “Brother” Pat McNulty, I would have been a miserable failure. Thanks Pat.
However, with all of my business experience aside, I was a radio man. I loved the business of communicating the opinions and Values of the Local Voice. Radio was “The Theater of the Mind”.
but I also loved the business and sales side of Radio. I was blessed to assist many Central Iowa Business in becoming “Some of The Best Business in our community.”
I also loved to be a part of his community by being a “voice” into our lives. From the original McKoy of the Famous “Hatfield and McKoy” morning show in the 70’s….80’s and 90’s…
to “Mac and Amy” on the “infamous” 107 DOT 5 KKDM.
From 1994 to the turn of the century, I was passionate about this new station and My staff of amazing broadcasters. They built 107 dot 5 from dist ( literally put the station on the sir) to the # 1 station in Des Moines.
In 2004 I began my Talk shows ( no music),
Mac and Mr, Fisher, Mac and Bradshaw and Macs World on 98.3 WOW FM.
But The broadcast opportunity I loved the most was my show
“The View From A Pew” heard from 2004 – 2011 on local radio and internet and then daily on The Truth Network.
In 2015 we re-introduced "Mac's World" to the Centeral Iowa on 99.3.
Plus my national Show "Restoring Hope Live.
I am blessed to follow God’s Will for my life and the Lord lead me to a ministry that simply…
“Honored God, Followed Jesus and Served Others.”
I always felt God telling me my mission in life was…
1) find a life
2) make a difference
3) Do it again…
I always said I would not leave behind any buildings or streets with my namesake, but a legacy filled with people God touched through my Talk shows. I called those miracles…” Macisms” or “Nugget’s of Wisdom”. God would pass his wisdom through My Shows… to souls that needed to hear what God wanted for their lives.
I am blessed to see my programs:
Empower people to stop abusing drugs and Alcohol,
Halted them from committing suicide or other terrible crimes,
Saving marriages and relationships through out my listenership. The letters I have received through out my life are ones that shared with me how God used my programs to “Transform Their Lives”…
Those letters and the people that wrote them are my Legacy.
Thousands of lived touch by the Word of God thru My programs.
I loved my blended family.
My partner and wife, C.J. Mckoy and our 4 kids:
Andrea Anderson Archer and her husband Steve,
Zac and his wife Trina and their youngest Samantha Henderson.
5 grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Sydne, Boston and Gibson, Riot.
A sister, Mary Henderson Barthel…that Loved me no matter what
CJ is the glue that held this blended family together cause I had no clue how to be a Dad or Grandfather…so CJ taught me, CJ used to say that “ it takes 20 years to train a good husband and I made it just under the wire.” I Loved my family like Paul loved the church. With Stout and with Vigor…Protective and passionate.
There wasn’t a thing I wouldn’t do for my kids, but you’d have to tell me from time to time what they needed cause sometimes I was clueless.
For CJ, she is my Queen.
I was always looking for ways to show my undying passion and everlasting commitment to her.
I related my love for CJ in a song by Wynonna Judd called “ “She Is His Only Need” .
Our marriage was never easy, but CJ’s loyalty and love for Me made us a perfect and Spectacular example of a Christ Filled Union.
Some will say I struggled with life, suffering with a disability diagnosed as “Borderline Personality Disorder”.
It’s true, by by the Grace of God and my brothers and sisters of AA and my Church, I not only prevailed…but was victorious and lived a amazing life. I understood the suffering of addiction and felt I was called to serve these fellow men and women. God reached out a hand of prayer and serenity though me to so many. I hope I was always an example of God’s Makarios: God’s undying joy for others. I was excited by life because I know my life was God’s plan for me, and would not have changed a thing. I believed I had a purpose in life and that was to serve others. I figured out how to do this with an earthly perfection in my later years of my days on earth. I know that I have reached out and touched the face of God …I have heard Jesus say…well done my faithful son…well done.
Finally… my Hope is that you discover your Heavenly Fathers purpose and gifts for your life. When you do, use those gifts and share them “passionately” with the world.
Love, Live and Laugh and Forgive and you will live a joyous, peaceful life…and thanks for listening.
I loved my life and it would not have been this good with out YOU!
ON FaceBook 2012
A Friend died and his spouse told me last week that the hardest thing she had to do was write his Obituary. SO I decided to make sure my wife didn’t have to suffer through that…SO I am witting my Obit. and I want your help. What’s the 1 thing you would say about me if you were writing by obit. Go Ahead…be honest. I can take it:

Shelly Doty ok, just kidding, really, how about, “I like to stir the pot”, on a serious note, I think writing and planning your own funeral is one of the greatest gifts of kindness you can give your family and it truly allows your life to be celebrated as you would like. Kudos to you for working on this.

Laura Lundberg Mac McCoy was a man of passion. Passion for his family, his friends, his family, and his world. Faith in God led him on a path that touched many in their hearts and minds. While he may not have been able to save them all, he was able to guide them on their own paths to becoming wonderful people. One friend, an athiest, will always remember her friend Mac as the man that made her see that she could shuck the chains of what society expects and follow her heart.
And sometimes he was a jerk…but aren’t we all?
Just had to add some humor there or I would get sad.

Brian Keith Mac was a man of authenticity and genuine character. Candid, compassionate, and, at times, a bit curmudgeonly. ;-) Passionate life-learner underscored by his exuberant sense of curiosity. Thoughtful and gentlemanly he possessed an uncommon commitment to self-improvement and to honing his own rough edges. He loved to laugh, never in a mean spirited way though, his humor was absent of malice. Mac was a deeply spiritual enthusiastic entrepreneur who readily met challenges with a “failure is not an option” approach. He was a loving family man who’s ‘family’ extended well beyond those to whom he was related.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.” Charles R. Swindoll
